My name is Greg Cruey. I am an educator, journalist, Asia buff and avid China watcher who has lived on four continents and in 14 times zones.
In the past 25 years I have worked in education, educational fund raising and grant writing, community development, economic development, journalism, population studies, and teaching in a variety of public and private settings in Asia, parts of the Pacific, and in rural Appalachia. My work as a journalist has included everything from being a beat reporter for a daily to working as editor-in-chief of a small college paper. I have been blogging and writing online for over a decade now.
I hold a Bachelor's degree from Augusta State University. My undergraduate degree covered a broad spectrum of the social sciences. I studied foreign languages and general linguistics at the Australian National University where I was awarded a graduate diploma (with merit). I earned my Master's degree from Marshall University.
