This is already on the China Law Blog, so there's a good chance you've seen it by now. (Dan brings much more humor to the issue than I can.) But just in case you're not aware of the situation, China is making regional travel somewhat more messy in East Asia by clamping down on multiply entry visas.
Dan put it this way:

Richard Brubaker over at All Roads Lead to China was more blunt: "PAY ATTENTION and Chinese F Visas Cannot Be Renewed Past Olympics."
He goes on to say that until the Olympics are over you can only get single or double entry visas with a max of 30 days for each stay.
No more short trips to Hong Kong to renew. You have to go home...
Dan put it this way:
China is cracking down on entries into China every which way it can, and it is doing so to such an extent that it is affecting business. It is impacting business because businesspeople are getting stuck in Hong Kong where they had gone to get visas to re-enter China and are now being told they must return to their "resident country" to get any such visas.Just how bad is it?
