It's been awhile since we mentioned the ongoing race to create virtual worlds for Chinese consumers. UOneNet is making news at the moment as its plans to alpha test it's new virtual world in December became public last week.

UOneNet is one of six online gaming companies in China working to develop and market virtual worlds modeled after Second Life. Shanda and HiPiHi get mentioned most often. UOneNet and Frenzoo are smaller, but are both working to get a piece of China's virtual world market, as are Yilu and Entropia.
While the development race may be hot, until now only HiPiHi had an actual product. If uWorld becomes a reality in the next few months, that will make two virtual world on the market in China and put pressure on the other competitors...
