The afternoon session here at the New York Venture Summit is also providing some interesting companies - here is our selection:

EcoMilesEcomiles has a positive conscious alternative to many miles schemes - instead of buying bags or other luxury awards you can buy parts or complete projects that are positive to the society or the environment.

Flex Financial SolutionsFlex FS offers a toolkit to better package financial services and products depending on data about the target audience. I have missed the presentation buts sounds good isn't it - raising the bottom line with simply buying their product and integrating it.

Planet China LLCThis enterprise is providing a complete International Trade infrastructure that helps with supply chain management not just sales and marketing like alibaba.com & Co. The presenter is speaking pretty little English (so the real business stayed much in background going through some buzzwords only like 'competitive advantage' 'brick and mortar'. It all sounds a bit like the vocabulary of 1999 which everybody else here tries to avoid. Nevertheless the startup does around 11 million in sales this year!

Rainbow BroadbandIs this just another ISP or are they bound to stay? The company serves a niche market that uses microwaves to serve areas that do not have access to DSL, T1 or cable connections. The company is just started and probably won't grow to a huge ISP - so I'm not sure if they can grow fast enough to be bought out soon.
