In Shanghai: China IPO Summit 2007
Filed in archive Conferences on July 30, 2007
If you're looking for a place to gain some insight into China's hot economy and maybe network with a few insiders from the China scene, IGVision is hosting China IPO Summit 2007 at the Renaissance Hotel in Shanghai on September 6th and 7th.
IGVision describes itself as "a leading business intelligence provider with affiliated partners in U.S., China, U.K., Japan and Singapore."
The IPO scene in China has been white hot in the last year. The Shanghai Stock Exchange has seen a number of large IPO offerings aimed at mostly domestic investors in China. The Hong Kong stock exchange has been the primary arena for offerings open to foreign investors; but New York, London, Singapore, and Osaka have all seen IPO floats from Chinese companies in the last year.
The growth of the IPO on the China economic front has been a boon to venture capitalists. An IPO is one way for VC and private equity investors to "cash out" of companies they've financed through the early growth and development stage.
