China Analyst, the impressive report authored by the savvy Internet analyst Safa Rashtchy for Piper Jaffray, reveals that the Chinese Internet sector continues its leap forward with its impressive gains of nearly 30% since the first of the year. With the Middle Kingdom's 112 million net users, the math is easy.
Also, check out Rashtchy's views on which China Internet companies might be the next acquisition targets in China found in his interview with MarketWatch's bambi Francisco. The peripatetic analyst also highlights the growth of Focus Media and Tom Online Inc. According to a recent article in Investors.com, rumors continue to swirl in China that billionaire tycoon Li Ka-shing's TOM Group or its listed subsidiary TOMO plans to acquire a significant stake in Chinese portal Sina Corporation by buying the 19.5% owned by Shanda Entertainment Ltd.
