Vincent Pun, the senior manager for research at the Asian Venture Capital Journal (AVCJ), published from Hong Kong, and regarded as one of the leading publications on private equity and venture capital, has provided CVN with this excellent year-end snapshot of China Private Equity figures:

China Private Equity Market in 2005

� New Funds Raised: US$1,292 million, +149.9% on a yearly basis.
� Total Capital Under Management: US$8.660 million, +18.1% on a yearly basis.
� Investment made: US$5,751 million,+175.2% on a yearly basis.
� Trade sales Exits: over four times on the 2004 figures.
� Venture-backed IPOs: almost double on the 2004 figures.
